Located on the Puerto Portals waterfront in Palma de Mallorca, the Panorama Building houses the iconic Lobster Club by Grupo Cappuccino, one of the most exclusive gastronomic and leisure venues in the Mediterranean. This non-residential building project, designed by architects Morro Serra Morro and built by Construcciones Llull Sastre and Melchor Mascaró for the Puerto Portals Port Authority, received international recognition in 2025 with the Prix Versailles, an award that distinguishes the world's best commercial architecture for its excellence in design and integration with the surrounding environment.
Iconic architecture inspired by the sea
The architectural design of the Panorama Building is conceived as a sculptural piece integrated into the maritime environment. Its most distinctive feature is the curved, solid concrete slab roof, whose downward slope evokes the movement of the waves. The roof incorporates sprayed polyurea waterproofing with a sand finish and copper cladding that reinforces its formal expressiveness and its integration with the coastal landscape. The result is a unique building that has become a new architectural icon in Puerto Portals.

The foundation complements the breakwater's function with a deep micropiled foundation system approximately 3.8 km long, ensuring structural stability in a demanding marine environment. Large-diameter pillars elevate the platform that supports the main building and the outdoor pool, creating a robust and durable construction solution resistant to marine conditions. This type of project positions Construcciones Llull Sastre as a leader in technical construction and unique projects in Mallorca.
