In Palmanova, Calvià, right on the seafront, we built the 4-star Hotel Ponent Mar in 1986. Since its inception, this establishment has become a benchmark for family and wellness tourism on the southwest coast of Mallorca. From its initial construction, we have implemented a strategy of continuous annual renovations, carrying out the necessary refurbishments and updates each year to maintain the hotel's competitive standards within the four-star segment in Mallorca.
Capacity and characteristics of the establishment
The Hotel Ponent Mar currently offers approximately 150 to 190 studios and apartments, depending on the configuration, following successive expansions and modernizations. The units are distributed across several buildings of between six and eight floors, with an average room size of 30 to 45 m², including studios with fully equipped kitchens and one-bedroom apartments, many with balconies or terraces and direct sea views. The estimated total built area of the complex is between 10,000 and 15,000 m², taking into account the various expansion and improvement phases carried out over the years.
Spa & Wellness and outdoor areas
The hotel boasts a comprehensive Spa & Wellness center with a thermal circuit, heated indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation area, treatment cabins, and a fully equipped gym. The wellness area has undergone several modernizations, incorporating technical improvements and updated finishes and facilities, with an estimated surface area of between 400 and 800 m². Outside, the hotel features outdoor swimming pools, including a rooftop pool with sea views, panoramic terraces, a solarium, and landscaped gardens that have been regularly updated to reflect current trends in the hotel industry.
Restoration and common areas
The hotel offers a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, a bar, and a snack bar, in addition to spacious common areas that have been progressively renovated, incorporating improvements in design, lighting, and energy efficiency. Each renovation has updated the hotel's image, maintaining a contemporary style without losing its original identity.
