Praxedis is a unique residential development, designed by Palomino Arquitectos and built by Construcciones Llull Sastre, in the heart of San Agustín, one of the most sought-after areas in southwest Palma. Just minutes from the sea, the Paseo Marítimo, and the city center, the surroundings combine a peaceful residential environment, well-established amenities, and proximity to marinas and leisure areas, making it a strategic location for year-round living.
Architectural image and character
The building presents itself as a contemporary volume with clean horizontal lines and expansive structural overhangs that lend depth and shade to the terraces. Large glazed surfaces open the apartments to the exterior, maximizing natural light and visual continuity. The façade combines Balearic gray stone, slate slabs, masonry, and plastered surfaces, creating an elegant and timeless material composition. At night, linear lighting integrated into the upper overhangs highlights the building's geometry and reinforces its urban presence with a sophisticated and recognizable image.
Structural solidity and construction precision
The structure is achieved through post-tensioned slabs supported by concrete and steel columns, a technical solution that allows for longer spans, more open spaces, and high-precision construction. The ceramic brick walls, lined with plasterboard and LR mineral insulation, ensure thermal and acoustic comfort. The interior partitions, finished in plasterboard with a Q3 finish, and the suspended ceilings using the same system, contribute to a clean and contemporary aesthetic, in keeping with the project's contemporary design.
High-quality materials and finishes
Inside, Balearic gray stone cladding and MDF panels lend a sense of understated elegance and aesthetic coherence. Lacquered MDF interior joinery and glass partitions enhance the feeling of spaciousness and light. Plastic and acrylic paints complete a carefully executed set of finishes. Outside, the combination of natural stone, slate, and masonry engages in a dialogue with Mediterranean architecture, reinterpreted with a contemporary flair. Aluminum exterior joinery and glass railings on the terraces emphasize the visual lightness and connection to the surrounding environment.
