At Construcciones Llull Sastre we have started the remodeling works of a multi-family building located in the heart of the old town of Palma de Mallorca, between the pedestrian streets Jaume II and Pescater\u00eda, one of the busiest and most emblematic areas of the historic center.<\/p>\n\n

The project involves a deep structural intervention, which includes the demolition of approximately 80% of the existing interior structure, maintaining the original facade and interior load-bearing walls, which will be reinforced in those areas that show a poor state of conservation.<\/p>\n\n

During the renovation, the floor slabs will be rebuilt, the exterior woodwork will be replaced, and the fa\u00e7ade will be restored using lime mortar cladding, a traditional solution that preserves the architectural character of the historic buildings in the city’s old town. The ornate interior railings will also be preserved and adapted to current regulations. <\/p>\n\n

The resulting building will house a commercial space on the ground floor, which will be fitted with new windows to improve natural light. The upper floors will contain four apartments of different layouts: two one-bedroom apartments on the mezzanine and first floors, a two-bedroom apartment on the second floor, and, on the top floor, a three-bedroom apartment with a private rooftop terrace. <\/p>\n\n

With this action, we contribute to the rehabilitation and urban regeneration of one of the most representative areas of the historic center of Palma, combining heritage conservation and contemporary functionality.<\/p>\n\n
