Son Sunyeret begins

Son Sunyeret is our own development located in Bisbe Massanet street, 5 minutes from Plaza España. It will consist of 12 homes distributed over 4 floors, including two penthouses, with a 50 m² terrace and panoramic views of the Parque de las Estaciones, and two duplexes located on the ground floor with an interior terrace and private swimming pool.

The existing building has been demolished except for the main façade which, at the request of the Association for the Revitalisation of Old Towns (ARCA), was protected in order to conserve its typological and environmental characteristics, especially due to the importance of this building in the old Son Sunyeret neighbourhood, both for its architectural quality and for being one of the first constructions of Palma’s “l’eixample” (Calvet Plan) approved in 1902.

This building was constructed in 1904 by the construction manager Gaspar Reynés i Coll, the first owner being Víctor Rosselló i Hediguer until 1931. During the Second Republic, the ground floor of the building was used as a school and the first floor as the teachers’ dormitories.

For the complicated task of conserving such an important element, façade stabilisers will be used, which are temporary structures used to ensure stability throughout the duration of the work.

The resulting building will be a blend of modernity and architectural tradition in a thriving district of Palma. The combination of the prestigious architect Alejandro Palomino, in charge of the design and direction of the project, and the reputable company Construcciones Llull Sastre, ensure a project with a design and qualities that are hard to beat in the city of Palma de Mallorca.
